Coaching
The club encourages parents and children interested in coaching to participate in this fun and rewarding activity, in fact most coaches get such satisfaction from the job that they continue coaching for several years beyond their initial involvement.
Each coach is expected to train their team once a week, organize a complete player list for each game and attend Saturday games.

Basic Coaching Training is provided and further skilling is available for those who want to progress in this skill.

In appreciation for their time and effort, the club will waive one registration fee for a child of a coach, or in the case of a child coaching; their own registration fees will be waived.
Coaches are provided a Coaches Kit which includes club bag, 2 sets of bibs, balls, first aid kit and pumps. These kits are kept by the coaches and returned to the committee at the end of each winter and spring season.

Contact Mellissa Ratcliff if you are intrested

Umpires
As part of their registration, all clubs are required to provide umpires for Saturday games. In appreciation for their time, Umpires are paid a nominal wage by WPNC.

Basic training is provided and additional training is available to those interested in perusing a career in umpiring.

The club has umpires shirts available for purchase.

Umpiring Pathway

Before you start to umpire you have to complete an 'Introduction to Umpiring' course. Then you put what you have learnt into practice, with the assistance of a badged umpire. When you have enough confidence then you umpire by yourself. As your confidence grows you progress through the age groups until you are umpiring the Open sections. Once this level is achieved you will then be ready to be tested for your C grade badge. During this process you need to have sat your Theory Paper (which can be done online) and attended any relevant courses. Once you have obtained you badge, to stay accredited you need to sit your theory paper and attend courses every six years.

To progress to different badges of umpiring you keep your accreditation up to date and umpire higher standard games.
